Requirements

Children from families with incomes at or below 130 percent of the poverty level are eligible for free meals. Those with incomes between 130 percent and 185 percent of the poverty level are eligible for reduced-price meals, which cost no more than 40 cents.

Application Process

You can submit an application to your school or district at any time during the school year.

School Breakfasts

Similar to the National School Lunch Program, the School Breakfast Program operates in public and private schools, providing nutritionally balanced breakfasts each school day.
