TopStar Express raises over $4k for Feeding Pennsylvania Food Banks through “Cup of Hope” Campaign

BETHLEHEM, PA (September 5, 2024) — TopStar Express has announced Feeding Pennsylvania as the beneficiary of the company’s 2024 “Cup of Hope” charitable giving campaign. Through the “Cup of Hope” campaign, a portion of each coffee sale is donated to a charitable cause that gives back to communities within the convenience store chain’s eastern PA service area.

Feeding Pennsylvania is honored to be the beneficiary of the “Cup of Hope” campaign for the second year in a row, having received over $10,000 from the 2023 campaign. “We’re thrilled that Top Star Express has prioritized Pennsylvanians facing hunger by selecting Feeding PA and our four food banks within their service area as beneficiaries of the Cup of Hope campaign,” remarked Feeding Pennsylvania CEO Julie Bancroft. “Initiatives like “Cup of Hope” help food bank resources go further so more neighbors can access the nutritious food they need to thrive.”

Feeding Pennsylvania is the statewide association of nine Feeding America-affiliated food banks that helps their food banks to serve more than 1.5 million Pennsylvanians through a network of more than 2,700 pantries and feeding programs by helping them access food and resources. The organization also acts as a collective voice to raise awareness of the impact of hunger and food insecurity in the state and to advocate for policies that improve access to nutritious food, ensuring that no Pennsylvanian goes hungry.

TopStar Express Vice President of Retail Operations Megan Cardine echoes the company’s commitment to supporting communities through charitable initiatives, “Every cent counts during these hard economic times, so we are happy to give hope to people in need within our communities – even if it’s one sip at a time.”

Feeding Pennsylvania and its four member food banks within TopStar Express’s service area, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, Helping Harvest Fresh Food Bank, Philabundance and Second Harvest Food Bank of the Lehigh Valley and Northeast PA, are grateful for the company’s donation of $4,363.85 that was raised via the “Cup of Hope” campaign during the first half of 2024.

The “Cup of Hope” campaign continues to raise funds for Feeding Pennsylvania through the second half of 2024. To learn more about TopStar Express and to find your nearest location, visit topstarexpress.com.
