Here’s how we’re making our charitable food system work better for all Pennsylvanians.

We help food banks operate more efficiently and effectively.

We foster the exchange of ideas, data, and capacity-building tools among our food banks. From creating spaces to share best practices to pooling financial resources, we strive to be the most comprehensive resource on ending hunger in Pennsylvania.

We advocate for policies that get more food to more Pennsylvanians.

Feeding Pennsylvania is a strong voice for hunger relief across our state. We work with lawmakers to shape policies that improve access to food and address the root causes of food insecurity.

We grow public awareness of food insecurity.

As a statewide organization, we call attention to the many ways that hunger and food insecurity affect every county in our state. At the same time, we rally individuals, businesses, farmers, elected officials, and nonprofits to work together to find solutions.

Policy Priorities & Updates

PASS

SFPP

The Governor’s budget proposal invests $4M in the State Food Purchase Program (SFPP), which helps keep pantry shelves stocked.

SNAP

SNAP is an essential federal anti-hunger program for low-income individuals. For every meal a food bank provides, SNAP provides nine.
